What Does DS Stand For? (Nintendo DS)
March 5th, 2011 by AdminI had played this game for a long time and never thought to ask. But alas, one day I just had to find the answer.
Turns out it’s actually a dual acronym. Depends who you talk to at Nintendo I guess! It can stand for:
- Developer’s System (per Nintendo, “since we believe it gives game creators brand new tools which will lead to more innovative games for the world’s players”)
- or Dual Screen
I think for our purposes as consumers Dual Screen makes the most sense; until the day they decide to add another one somewhere. …maybe I’m thinking of Nintendo TS. The future of gaming!
